Visiting: Windsor, Cardiff, Bristol, Bath and Stonehenge, Swansea, Gower Peninsula, Tenby & Caerphilly
Wednesday 01 April
We meet at Malta International Airport at 05:15 for flight KM100 departing at 07:05 and arriving at Heathrow at 09:45. After landing, we proceed by coach to Windsor, where we will have the opportunity to visit Windsor Castle (entrance extra). We then continue our journey to Cardiff in Wales. Upon arrival at the Jurys Inn 4-Star Hotel, room allocation will take place. For those on half-board, dinner will always be served in the evening.

Thursday 02 April
After buffet breakfast, we will have a city tour around the beautiful city of Cardiff, the largest city and capital of Wales. This city is the commercial centre and the base for many cultural and national sporting institutions of Wales. Here we will see St John the Baptist Church, the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Castle, Castle Park, City Hall, the National Stadium, Llandaff Cathedral, Cardiff Bay, and the Wales Millennium Centre. We will have free time to stroll along Cardiff Bay. In the evening, an outing with the leader. Dinner at the hotel.

Friday 03 April
A very interesting excursion where we will visit Bath and Stonehenge. Our first stop will be Stonehenge, the prehistoric monument dating back to around 2400 BC, where we will see the ancient stone circle and the visitor centre (entrance fee extra). We then continue to Bath, where we will enjoy a walking tour of this historic town. Here we will see Bath Abbey (entrance extra), the Roman Baths (entrance extra), the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Weir, the River Avon, and The Circus. Free time will follow. We return to the hotel for dinner and an evening outing with the leader.
Saturday 04 April
A very interesting excursion to the city of Swansea, a coastal city in Wales and the second largest after Cardiff. In Swansea we will see Castle Square, St Mary’s Church, the National Waterfront, and the Maritime Quarter. Here we will have time for lunch (extra) and shopping at The Quadrant Shopping Centre, the main shopping centre in Swansea. In the afternoon we will visit the Gower Peninsula – known for its stunning coastline, popular with walkers and especially surfers. Gower has many caves, including Paviland Cave and Minchin Hole Cave. We return to the hotel for dinner.

Sunday 05 April
Today’s excursion takes us to Tenby, a charming seaside town. Here we will see Castle Beach, the castle, the fishermen’s harbour, St Mary’s Church, Tudor Merchant’s House, and St Catherine’s Island. Free time for lunch (extra) and shopping in High Street. We continue our journey towards St Davids, but first we make a short stop at Newgale Beach, a shore protected by a natural storm wall that shields the village from rough seas. Often, stones and gravel from the beach get washed onto the main road during storms. After this stop we proceed to the small village of St Davids, the smallest in England both in size and population. This is where St David, the patron saint of Wales, is buried. We return to the hotel for dinner.

Monday 06 April
A very interesting excursion to the cities of Bristol and Caerphilly. We start by visiting Caerphilly Castle (entrance extra), the largest castle in the United Kingdom. We then continue to Bristol, where we will have a city tour to see places of interest such as Queen Square, Millennium Waterfront Square, City Hall, and College Green. We also see the Clifton Suspension Bridge and Clifton Observatory. Free time for souvenir shopping. Return to the hotel, followed by an evening outing with the leader.
Tuesday 07 April
English breakfast and it will be time to leave the city of Cardiff and start our journey towards Heathrow. Before arriving, we will visit the city of Oxford, where we stop for sightseeing and see its main places of interest. Free time for lunch (extra) and souvenir shopping. We then continue to Heathrow Airport for flight KM107, departing at 19:05 and arriving back in Malta at 23:25.
