Monday, 28th December: We meet at the airport at 04:00 for Ryanair flight FR7114 departing at 06:00 and arriving in Krakow at 08:40. Transfer by coach to the city centre where we will enjoy a Krakow city tour, discovering the main attractions of this beautiful city. Afterwards, together with our tour leader, we will visit the famous Christmas Market, which remains open until 1st January. We then proceed to the centrally located 3-star Hotel Wyspiański.

Tuesday, 29th December: After buffet breakfast, we begin our excursion to , one of the largest Marian pilgrimage centres in the world. Every year, around five million pilgrims and tourists visit the revered icon of the Black Madonna at the Sanctuary of Jasna Góra. This sacred site is one of Poland’s most important national monuments. We will also visit the monastery and its magnificent Baroque church before returning to Krakow.

Wednesday, 30th December: A wonderful day discovering places closely connected to the great Saint Pope John Paul II. We begin with a visit to the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, where Saint Faustina is honoured. We then continue through beautiful countryside to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here we visit the monastery and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Miracles. The highlight of the day is Wadowice, the picturesque town where Saint Pope John Paul II was born. Among the main attractions are the Basilica and his birthplace, now converted into a museum. (Entrance fees extra.)

Thursday, 31st December: A fascinating half-day excursion to Auschwitz-Birkenau, one of the most significant memorial sites in modern European history. Today we visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camps, a poignant reminder of the Holocaust where millions of people lost their lives. (Entrance fee extra.) We return to Krakow with free time to continue exploring this beautiful city. In the evening, for those interested, we will organise an optional New Year’s Eve Dinner Party with live music (extra charge), or alternatively you may celebrate the arrival of the New Year in the city’s main square.

Friday, 1st January 2027 – Happy New Year!: Discover with us the beauty of the Polish Alps as we visit Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains, together with the famous Christmas Market. These mountains stretch along the border between Poland and Slovakia and are the highest range of the Carpathian Mountains. Zakopane is Poland’s most famous ski resort and attracts visitors throughout both summer and winter. We stroll along Krupówki Street, the town’s lively main promenade lined with cafés, restaurants, boutiques, and traditional horse-drawn carriages. We tour Zakopane, admire its characteristic wooden architecture, and visit a small local art museum. Those who wish may take the cable car (extra charge) for breathtaking views over the town and surrounding mountains. Afterwards, we visit the festive Christmas Market before returning to Krakow.


Saturday, 2nd January: After breakfast, we depart to visit the famous Wieliczka Salt Mines (entrance fee extra), also known as the Underground Salt Cathedral of Poland and considered among the most spectacular salt mines in the world. Accompanied by a local guide, we explore the mines with their impressive salt sculptures and over 300 kilometres of underground corridors. The mines are also listed on UNESCO’s First World List of Cultural and Natural Heritage Sites. Afterwards, transfer by coach to Krakow Airport for Ryanair flight FR7115 departing at 20:25 and arriving in Malta at 23:05.
