Tuesday 29 December: We meet at Malta International Airport at 07:40 for flight TK1370, departing at 09:45 and arriving in Istanbul at 14:15. Transfer by coach to the 4-Star Hotel Taxim Gonen, located in the popular district of Beyoğlu, close to Taksim Square. Room allocation. Afterwards, an orientation walk with the tour leader to start enjoying this beautiful and vibrant city centre.

Wednesday 30 December: Buffet breakfast followed by our Istanbul Historical City Tour, one of the most interesting excursions of the trip. Together with our local guide, we explore the historic heart of Istanbul. We visit Hagia Sophia (entrance included) and the famous Blue Mosque (entrance included), renowned for its magnificent blue-tiled interior. We continue to the Hippodrome, where we see its three famous monuments: the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Bronze Serpentine Column, and the Column of Constantine. Lunch stop (not included). Afterwards, photo stop at the magnificent Topkapi Palace, residence of the Ottoman Sultans from the 15th to the 19th century. We also visit the impressive Underground Cistern (entrance included). Our final visit of the day is the famous Grand Bazaar. Return to the hotel.

Thursday 31 December: After buffet breakfast, we enjoy another fascinating excursion. We begin with a visit to Dolmabahçe Palace (entrance included), undoubtedly one of Istanbul’s most beautiful palaces. Afterwards, we enjoy a Bosphorus Cruise (included), where we admire the unique sight of the two continents, Europe and Asia, meeting along the Bosphorus Strait. We also see the Sea of Marmara, which connects with the Black Sea. Our final stop will be the famous Spice Market.

Friday 01 January 2027 – Happy New Year! Buffet breakfast followed by an excursion to the Asian side of Istanbul. We visit Çamlıca Hill and Çamlıca Tower (Observation Tower ticket included), offering spectacular panoramic views over Istanbul. We also visit the Çamlıca Mosque, the largest mosque in Turkey. Afterwards, we return to the hotel and continue enjoying the lively district of Beyoğlu, famous for its shops, cafés, and restaurants. In the evening, for those who wish to participate, we will organise a New Year's Gala Dinner to celebrate the end of the year and welcome the New Year in style.

Saturday 02 January: Breakfast. Today is a free day; however, for those interested, we will organise an optional excursion to the romantic city of Bursa. Together with our local guide, we visit the city's most interesting landmarks, followed by lunch (not included). We then take the cable car (not included) up to Uludağ Ski Centre, where we enjoy free time to experience the snow and admire the beautiful mountain scenery. Return to Istanbul.

Sunday 03 January: Breakfast and free time for personal sightseeing and shopping. At 14:00, transfer to Istanbul Airport for flight TK1371, departing at 18:15 and arriving in Malta at 18:50 (local time).
