WROCLAW CHRISTMAS MARKETS & FAIRYTALE POLAND

Sunday 06 December: We meet at Malta International Airport at 07:30 for flight FR7462, departing at 10:00 and arriving in Wrocław at 12:45. Upon arrival, private coach transfer to Hotel Mercure Wrocław Centrum, a 4 Stars hotel located in the city centre, just a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town and the famous Christmas Markets. After room allocation, we join the tour leader for an introductory walk through the historic heart of Wrocław to begin enjoying the magical Christmas atmosphere. In the evening, free time to visit the Christmas Markets, enjoy dinner in one of the typical Polish restaurants, or relax with a warm drink in the main square, beautifully decorated with festive lights.

Monday 07 December: After breakfast, we enjoy a city tour with a local guide around Wrocław, one of Poland’s most beautiful cities. During the tour we will see: Rynek, the main square and one of the largest in Europe, The historic Town Hall, Cathedral Island, The picturesque bridges, The famous Wrocław Dwarfs statues In the afternoon, free time to continue discovering the city, enjoy shopping, or revisit the Christmas Markets, where you will find handcrafted products, Christmas decorations and traditional Polish food. In the evening, we will organise an optional typical Polish dinner with traditional music (extra).

Tuesday 08 December: Breakfast, followed by departure from Wrocław for a beautiful panoramic journey through the countryside of Lower Silesia towards the majestic Książ Castle, one of the largest and most impressive castles in Poland. Built on a hill surrounded by forests, the castle is famous for its elegant Baroque interiors, panoramic terraces, rich aristocratic history and mysterious underground tunnels connected to the Second World War. After visiting the castle and the surrounding gardens, we continue to the Church of Peace in Świdnica, a wooden Lutheran church listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This 17th-century church is famous for its extraordinary wooden construction and richly decorated interior, and is considered one of Europe’s most unique religious monuments. After some free time for photos and a relaxing walk, we return to Wrocław.


Wednesday 09 December: Breakfast. Today we enjoy a full-day excursion from Wrocław to the spectacular Giant Mountains and the Valley of Palaces and Gardens.We travel through beautiful scenery, picturesque villages and snow-covered mountains. Throughout the day, we admire historic palaces and residences full of character and history, while also enjoying the wonderful mountain atmosphere during the festive month of December. This excursion offers the perfect combination of nature, culture and relaxation.
Thursday 10 December: Breakfast and a free day for shopping and personal sightseeing. Those who wish may join the tour leader for a visit to Wrocław Zoo, the largest zoo in Poland, as well as the Afrykarium Aquarium. At 15:15, we depart for Wrocław Airport for flight FR3463, departing for Malta at 18:45 and arriving in Malta at 21:35.
