Day 01
We meet at Malta International Airport at 10:30 for flight KM624, departing at 12:45. We arrive at Milan Airport at 14:45. Coach transfer to Sondrio – a town in the heart of the Valtellina valley surrounded by the mountains of the Alps. Check-in at the Gran Hotel Della Posta – 4 Star, located in the town centre.
Day 02
Breakfast and afterwards a short drive to the town of Tirano, where we will board the tourist train Bernina Express (extra). A journey of just over two hours will take us to St Moritz in Switzerland, with impressive scenery of mountains, lakes and glaciers among the Alpine landscapes. Without doubt, this will be an unforgettable experience!
Upon arrival in St Moritz, we will have enough free time to enjoy this luxurious town before returning to Sondrio.
Day 02 (applicable for Group B)
Breakfast and afterwards we begin our journey by coach towards St Moritz in Switzerland. This route passes through the Bernina Pass (2,328m) – one of the highest paved roads in Europe open to traffic – offering impressive scenery of mountains, meadows, lakes and glaciers among the Alpine landscapes. Undoubtedly, this will be an unforgettable experience! Upon arrival in St Moritz, we will have ample time to enjoy this luxurious town before returning to Sondrio.
Day 03
Breakfast and departure towards Livigno. Upon arrival we will take a tour of this resort to admire its beauty and wonderful scenery. Here you will have the opportunity to use the cable car (extra) to reach the top of Carosello Mountain for spectacular views. Livigno is a duty-free zone, so you will also have the opportunity to shop for various items at advantageous prices during your free time. Afterwards, we continue to the beautiful Alpine village of Bormio, where we take a walk through the medieval centre with its narrow streets and small shops. Free time and then return to the hotel.
Day 04
Today we will visit Lake Iseo, the fourth largest lake in Lombardy. Our first stop is Lovere, where one may take a walk along the lake and enjoy the beautiful mountain and lake scenery. Today there will be the local market, where you will also find typical regional products. Afterwards, we continue to Sulzano, where we will have the opportunity to take a boat (extra) to the island of Monte Isola – a 5-minute trip that takes us to Peschiera di Maraglio, a charming fishing village. We will have time to enjoy this small village with its narrow alleys, small streets, arches, steps and tiny houses. A good fish meal is a must here!
Day 05
After breakfast, a wonderful excursion awaits. Our first stop will be Bellano, located on the shores of Lake Como. In the old part of this town we find the natural spectacle Bellano Gorge (extra), with waterfalls flowing between high rock walls. We will have enough time to walk along the pathways and enjoy the beauty of nature. Afterwards, we continue to Lecco, another beautiful village on Lake Como. We will have free time and a lakeside walk not to be missed. We then continue our journey to Linate Airport for flight KM627 departing Milan at 20:45 and arriving back in Malta at 22:35.
Day 05 (applicable for Groups A, B & H)
After breakfast, departure to Lecco, a beautiful village on Lake Como. We will have free time and a lakeside walk not to be missed. We then continue our journey to Linate Airport for flight KM625 departing Milan at 15:15 and arriving back in Malta at 17:15.
