Saturday
We meet at Malta airport at 10.00 for check-in for flight FR6339 departing at 12.05 and arriving in Tirana at 13.35. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in at Hotel Habitat 4* (Group A), Hotel Senatore 4* (Groups B, C). In the evening, an outing with the leader.

Sunday
Breakfast and a city tour of Tirana on foot with a local guide. We visit Skanderbeg Square, the heart of the city and a national symbol, the Et’hem Bey Mosque known for its detailed frescoes, and the Catholic Church. In the afternoon we depart by coach to the medieval town of Kruje, known as the city of the national hero Skanderbeg. We visit the Skanderbeg Museum and the historic castle, as well as free time in the old bazaar full of traditional shops. Return to Tirana.

Monday
Today’s excursion takes us to the city of Berat, known as “the city of a thousand windows” due to its unique architecture. We visit the Onufri Museum, famous for its religious icons, and the Berat Fortress which offers beautiful views of the city and river. Free time and return to Tirana.

Tuesday
Breakfast and departure towards Durres, the largest port city in Albania. We take a walk through the main square and the Venetian Tower, witnesses of the city’s ancient history. We continue with a journey along the Albanian coast, passing through Vlore, Dhermi and Llogara National Park, known for its mountainous landscapes and spectacular sea views. Late afternoon arrival in Saranda, located in the south of Albania. Room allocation at Hotel Bougainville Resort & SPA 5*.

Wednesday
Breakfast and then with the guide we visit the Butrint archaeological site. This UNESCO World Heritage site includes Greek, Roman and Byzantine ruins in a beautiful natural setting. In the afternoon we return to Saranda and free time to enjoy the resort facilities.


Thursday
Full-day excursion to Gjirokaster, with a stop at the natural site of the Blue Eye, a natural spring with clear blue waters where visitors can see to the bottom. We continue to Gjirokaster, a historic stone-built town and birthplace of Albanian dictator Enver Hoxha. Guided walk in the medieval old town, visit to the castle and free time to explore the traditional streets. Return to Saranda.

Friday
Departure towards eastern Albania through picturesque mountain roads and river canyons. During the journey we appreciate the natural beauty and varied landscapes of the country. Arrival and overnight in Korce where we will stay at the Grand Hotel Palace 4*. Afterwards, an outing with the leader.
Saturday
Full-day local excursions. In the morning, visit to the small village of Voskopoja, known for its cultural and religious heritage, with a visit to the traditional market and an Orthodox church. In the afternoon we visit Prespa National Park and the small village of Pustec, near the Prespa lakes. Free time for lunch (extra) with a fish menu in local restaurants. Return and overnight in Korce.

Sunday
Breakfast and departure towards Elbasan, a city located in central Albania. We see Kalaja e Elbasanit, a beautiful Ottoman castle with traditional streets and an old atmosphere, and the Ethnographic Museum which shows how Albanian families lived in the past. Afterwards you may visit the King Mosque (Xhamia Mbret), one of the oldest mosques in Albania. Free time for lunch or those who wish may take a walk in Rinia Park. Transfer to Tirana airport for the flight departing at 21.35 and arriving back in Malta at 23.15.
