Day 1 – Arona
We meet at Malta International Airport at 10:25 for the February and March groups, and at 10:45 for the May and June groups, for our direct KM Malta Airlines flight KM624 to Milan Linate. For the February and March groups, the flight departs at 12:25 and arrives at 14:25. For the May and June groups, it departs at 12:45 and arrives at 14:45. After collecting our luggage, we travel by coach to Arona, an elegant town on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Upon arrival at the Hotel Concorde 4*, we check into our rooms. Afterwards, we join our tour leader for a walk to the town centre. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 – Mottarone – Stresa
After buffet breakfast, we begin our excursion to Mottarone, where, weather permitting, we enjoy spectacular views of the lakes and the Alps. Along the way, we admire the forests and beautiful surrounding scenery. We then continue to Stresa, an elegant town on Lake Maggiore, renowned for its villas, gardens and beautiful promenade. We have free time for a lakeside stroll and to enjoy the town’s atmosphere. Return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 3 – Lugano – Ascona
Today we travel to Switzerland. Our first stop is Lugano, where we join our tour leader for a walk through the historic centre and along the lakeside, surrounded by mountains. We have free time to explore the shops and cafés. We then continue to Ascona, a picturesque town on the shores of Lake Maggiore. We stroll through the narrow streets of the old town and along the promenade, with free time to enjoy the views and relaxed atmosphere. Return to Arona for dinner.
Day 4 – Como – Brunate
After buffet breakfast, we travel to Como, a beautiful town on the shores of the lake bearing the same name. We walk through the historic centre, viewing the cathedral from outside, the squares and the streets lined with shops and cafés. We also have time to enjoy the lakeside promenade. Those who wish may take the funicular to Brunate (extra), a hillside village offering panoramic views of the lake, the town and the surrounding mountains. Return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 5 – Domodossola – Centovalli – Locarno
After buffet breakfast, we travel to Domodossola, where we begin our journey aboard the scenic Centovalli train (extra). The route takes us through valleys, forests and over bridges, with beautiful scenery along the way to Locarno in Switzerland. Upon arrival, we have time to explore the town centre, its squares and the promenade along Lake Maggiore. Those who wish may take the funicular to the Sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso (extra), offering beautiful views of the town and lake. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 6 – Arona – Lake Orta
After buffet breakfast, we have free time in Arona to enjoy the town, its shops and a walk along the lake. Later, we travel to Lake Orta, one of Italy’s most beautiful lakes. We visit Orta San Giulio, a picturesque village with narrow streets, a lakeside square and traditional shops. Those who wish may visit Sacro Monte, dedicated to St Francis, or take a boat to Isola San Giulio (extra). Return to Arona for dinner.
Day 7 – The Borromean Islands
After buffet breakfast, we check out of the hotel and travel to Stresa. Here, we have the opportunity to take a boat to the Borromean Islands (boat trip and entrance fees extra). On Isola Bella, those who wish may visit the Borromeo family palace and its gardens. We then continue to Isola dei Pescatori, where we have free time to explore the narrow streets, do some shopping and enjoy lunch at one of the island’s restaurants. Later, we travel to Milan Linate Airport for flight KM539 back to Malta, departing at 20:45 and arriving at 22:45.
NOTE – February and March Groups
The Borromean Islands excursion takes place on Day 6. On Day 7, after breakfast, we check out of the hotel and travel to Lake Orta. We have time for a short walk in Orta San Giulio before continuing to Milan Linate Airport for flight KM627, departing at 15:35 and arriving in Malta at 17:15.
