Saturday 27th December
We meet at Malta International Airport at 12:30 for flight KM490, which departs at 14:25. We arrive in Zurich at 16:50. Transfer to Mulhouse, France, located on a plain between the Vosges mountains and the Rhine River. This charming town has a population of around 112,000 people. Upon arrival in Mulhouse, we proceed directly to the Hotel Bristol (3-star+), located in the city centre. Room allocation. For those who booked the half board supplement, dinner will always be included in the evening.
Sunday 28th December
A beautiful excursion will take us to the heart of the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland, where we will visit Interlaken and Grindelwald. We travel by coach to Switzerland on a journey full of breathtaking scenery — so have your video cameras ready! Upon arrival in Grindelwald, we take the cable car (optional extra) to the Mannlichen mountain for magnificent panoramic views. Our final stop is Interlaken, where we’ll enjoy a guided tour and admire the stunning view of the Jungfrau and Eiger Mountains from the Hohematte. We return to the hotel.
Monday 29th December
Today's outing takes us to the beautiful city of Lucerne, the capital of the Swiss canton of the same name. Among other sights, we’ll see the famous Wooden Bridge, a landmark of the city, and the baroque-style Jesuit Church. We continue into the picturesque Old Town with its charming streets. We’ll also visit the Town Hall and the Lion Monument, which commemorates the Swiss Guards killed during the French Revolution. Free time for souvenir shopping before returning to the hotel.
Tuesday 30th December
Buffet breakfast. Today’s excursion is a very interesting one as we visit Strasbourg and Riquewihr in France. Our first stop is Strasbourg, a very elegant and historically important city. Together, we will visit Petite France, the Old Quarters, the Palais de l'Europe, the European Parliament, the Orangerie, and the famous Cathedral. There will also be free time. We then head to the medieval village of Riquewihr, whose beautifully preserved architecture gives the feeling that time has stood still. The locals live a peaceful life, and their main industry is winemaking. We will walk through the cobbled, car-free streets lined with quaint shops, cafés, bakeries, restaurants, old wells, ancient fountains, and brightly coloured houses with stork nests on their rooftops. We return to the hotel. After dinner, we head out for a drink.
Wednesday 31st December
We visit the town of Colmar, famous for Alsace wine. With our tour leader, we will explore the historical centre, rich in art and culture, with dollhouse-like homes and neighbourhoods full of canals, known as Little Venice. We’ll also see the house of Bartholdi, the designer of the Statue of Liberty in New York. Many people rightly refer to Colmar as one of the most beautiful small towns in Europe. We return to the hotel and have free time for shopping. In the evening, we attend an optional New Year’s Eve dinner to say goodbye to 2025 full of memories and celebrate the beginning of 2026 with music and dancing in a wonderful atmosphere.
Thursday 1st January
Join us in discovering the beauty of the Black Forest in Germany. We begin our excursion at St. Peter’s for some sightseeing. Then we proceed to Triberg, a mountain resort famous for handmade cuckoo clocks and music boxes crafted by local artisans. Afterwards, we’ll have free time to shop for souvenirs. Our final stop is the picturesque village of Titisee, surrounded by a beautiful lake. What could be better than a lakeside walk or a slice of delicious Black Forest cake? We return to the hotel for dinner.
Friday 2nd January
A day of fun for both children and adults at Europa Theme Park (entrance ticket not included). Here you'll find everything you’d expect in a world of dreams and adventure: roller coasters, canoeing, shooting alleys, ghost trains, and many more attractions to ensure an unforgettable day. With your ticket, you can enjoy unlimited rides and shows. We return to the hotel.
Saturday 3rd January
We travel by coach to Neuhausen to see the famous Rhine Falls — the most spectacular waterfalls in Europe. We’ll stop to enjoy the beauty of nature before continuing to Zurich Airport, full of fond memories. We check in for flight KM491, which departs at 17:40 and arrives back in Malta at 19:40.
