Day 01
We meet at Malta International Airport at 12:30 to check in for flight FR9464 departing at 14:45 and arriving in Lourdes at 17:15. Coach transfer to the hotel. Room allocation and dinner. Afterwards, we take part in the Aux Flambeaux procession, which starts from the Grotto and goes up to the Rosary Basilica. We walk behind the statue of Our Lady with a lit candle while the Rosary is recited.
Day 02
Breakfast and a city walking tour of Lourdes to visit places of interest connected with St. Bernadette, including the Moulin de Boly, the place where Bernadette was born and lived until the age of 10, the Cachot, and the Parish Church dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Lunch at the hotel and afterwards we will have an excursion to the Betharram Caves (Grottes de Bétharram), a fascinating natural wonder located in the Pyrenees, extending across the French–Spanish border. They are known for their spectacular rock formations, underground rivers, and multi-level galleries, making them one of the most impressive cave systems in Europe. (Entrance extra). Dinner at the hotel.
Day 03
Breakfast and time for Mass, and afterwards we will have another wonderful day visiting the city of Toulouse, the fourth largest city in France. We will have a city tour to see the historic centre and discover its main monuments and important sites— a guided tour that gives an excellent overview of the Pink City and its history. We visit the Daurade docks on the banks of the Garonne, the Pont Saint-Pierre with its beautiful view of the dome of La Grave Hospital, and the opening of the Breenne Canal, as well as the Convent of the Jacobins, built in the 13th century. Afterwards, we will have free time for lunch and to explore the charming streets and shops of this beautiful city. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 04
Breakfast. Mass and afterwards we visit the Grotto of Massabielle, where Our Lady appeared to St. Bernadette, and we make the Way of the Cross. Lunch at the hotel and afterwards we will have an excursion to Pont d’Espagne, one of the most picturesque places in the French Pyrenees, located in the heart of spectacular nature, surrounded by green forests, clear rivers and beautiful waterfalls.
Day 05
Breakfast and check-out of rooms. Afterwards we offer you an excursion to Gavarnie, located in the Hautes Pyrénées region, where we will enjoy breathtaking scenery. During this excursion we will admire many beautiful views, including a typical mountain village situated 1,357 metres above sea level. We will stop at Pont du Napoléon, from where we can enjoy superb panoramic views. We then continue to Lourdes Airport for the flight to Malta on FR9245 departing at 22:45 and arriving in Malta at 01:10.
