Visiting: Cologne, Roermond, Maastricht, Königswinter, Bonn & Phantasialand

Saturday 26 December: We meet at Malta International Airport at 12:30 for flight KM532 to Düsseldorf, departing at 14:55 and arriving at 17:55. Transfer by coach to the beautiful city of Cologne. Upon arrival at the Dorint Hotel Cologne 4 Stars, room allocation will take place.

Sunday 27 December: A fascinating excursion to Maastricht in the Netherlands, one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. During our tour of the city, we will see: Stokstraat Quarter, Basilica of Our Lady, The Ramparts We then continue to Valkenburg aan de Geul for sightseeing. Here you will find numerous shops, bars and restaurants. We also visit the famous Christmas Market in Vrijthof Square. Return to the hotel.

Monday 28 December: After Buffet Breakfast, we enjoy a walking city tour of Cologne, visiting places of interest including: Cologne Cathedral, The 4711 House, Historic Rathaus, Gürzenich, Old Town District, Roncalliplatz Free time for personal sightseeing. Alternatively, you may enjoy shopping along the famous Schildergasse and Hohe Straße, two of Germany’s most popular shopping streets. In the evening, we go out with the tour leader.

Tuesday 29 December: Breakfast. Today is free at leisure. However, for those interested, we will organise an optional full-day excursion to Phantasialand (extra), one of Germany’s most popular theme parks. Here you will find: Exciting roller coasters Family rides, Live shows, Attractions for both adults and children. Return to the hotel.

Wednesday 30 December: Today we offer an interesting excursion to the city of Bonn. During our visit we see: Market Square,Town Hall, Minster Church, one of the city's most important landmarks The famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn. Free time for personal sightseeing before returning to the hotel.

Thursday 31 December: Breakfast and departure to the Netherlands to visit the town of Roermond. Our first stop is the famous Roermond Designer Outlet, home to over 200 designer and fashion stores. Later, we visit the protected Old Town, where we enjoy a walk through its charming streets and have free time to explore. Return to Cologne. In the evening, those interested may join our optional New Year's Eve Rhine River Cruise, including buffet dinner, live music, dancing and entertainment. A magical evening as we say goodbye to 2026 and welcome 2027 in style.

Friday 01 January 2027 Happy New Year!: Breakfast followed by a wonderful excursion to the picturesque village of Königswinter. Here we ride the historic Drachenfels Railway, Germany’s oldest cog railway dating back to 1883, taking us up Drachenfels Hill. From the summit we enjoy breathtaking views over the Rhine River and visit the magnificent 19th-century Drachenburg Castle. We also see the ruins of the medieval castle located nearby.

Saturday 02 January: Breakfast and excursion to the beautiful city of Düsseldorf. We visit the city's highlights including: Burgplatz, Schlossturm, Old Town (Altstadt) The Old Town is famous for its lively atmosphere and is home to more than 260 bars, restaurants, cafés and breweries. Free time for sightseeing and shopping. Later, we continue to Düsseldorf Airport for flight KM533, departing at 18:45 and arriving back in Malta at 21:30.
