Day 01
We meet at Malta International Airport at 10:30 for flight KM624, departing at 12:35. We arrive at Milan Airport at 14:35. Transfer by coach to Valle D’Aosta, surrounded by stunning mountain and valley scenery in Italy. Accommodation at Hotel Omama Social 4-star in Aosta. Room allocation and an outing with the tour leader.
Day 02
Today we offer you a very interesting excursion to the beautiful city of Turin, the capital of Piedmont. We will have a city tour where we will admire the marvellous beauty of the Royal Palace, Palazzo Madama, the cathedral, the Mole Antonelliana which is the tallest building in the city, Piazza San Carlo, Via Roma, Piazza Castello, Palazzo Carignano, the cathedral where the Shroud of Christ is kept, and free time. Afterwards, we continue to the Superga Basilica, a masterpiece by the great architect Juvarra.
Day 03
After buffet breakfast, we visit the picturesque beauty of the French Alps in the town of Annecy. During our tour of the town, we admire the beauty and architecture of the old town and its historic landmarks. Palais de l’Île, St. Pierre Cathedral, St. Francis Church, the castle and the canals make this town a true gem. We will have free time for shopping and sightseeing, or those who wish may take a cruise (extra) around the beautiful Lake Annecy. A lakeside walk is not to be missed!
Day 04
Chamonix is a picturesque ski resort in the French Alps, located in the Haute-Savoie region, waiting for you to discover it! We take a walk through its typical streets filled with boutiques and beautiful buildings. Those who wish may go up the Aiguille du Midi mountain at an altitude of 3842 metres (extra charge). Enjoy a typical meal and a good glass of wine before we head towards the Italian resort of Courmayeur — another place rich in ancient history and many years of skiing champions. Surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Mont Blanc, Courmayeur will enchant you. We explore it with a walk along Via Roma, with a stop at the historic café ‘Caffe Della Posta’.
Day 05
After buffet breakfast, we offer you a wonderful excursion to Gran Paradiso Park, once the royal hunting grounds of the Savoy family. Here we admire beautiful views, mountains, rivers and forests. We see several waterfalls that flow down into the valleys of Dora Baltea. We also see various animals such as the Ibex, Chamois, Eagle, etc. In the village of Lillaz, we see the beautiful waterfalls — three cascades reaching 150 metres in height. Among this breathtaking scenery we find the village of Cogne. We take a stroll to discover the beauty of this place. We also visit a grappa factory where we will have the opportunity to see the production process, taste the grappa, and have enough time to purchase these products.
Day 06
Breakfast and a walking tour of the town of Aosta — a picturesque town in the Valle D’Aosta region, known as the Rome of the Alps. Aosta is rich in monuments, churches and the famous Piazza Émile Chanoux. We visit historical sites such as Porta Pretoria, the Arch of Augustus, the Sant’Orso Complex and the Aosta Cathedral. We will have free time to visit the market where you will find anything you may need. In the afternoon we continue by coach to the well-known resort of Breuil-Cervinia, decorated with marvellous glacier views. We stop to enjoy the scenery and take a walk around the area. We continue our excursion to Saint Vincent, known for the Casino Della Valle, where we stop for sightseeing.
Day 07
Breakfast, and it is time to leave Valle d’Aosta with many beautiful memories and begin our journey to Linate Airport, but before that we stop in Novara, famous for the Basilica of San Gaudenzio, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, and the historic Broletto which also includes an art gallery. Upon arrival we take a walk through the Old Town streets filled with shops and cafés. Free time for an aperitif in Piazza Cavour. We then continue to the airport for flight KM625, departing Milan at 15:35 and arriving back in Malta at 17:25.
Day 07 – Group B & C
After breakfast we begin our journey to the city of Milan, where we will have the opportunity to see the Cathedral, Piazza Duomo, Teatro La Scala and Castello Sforzesco. We will have some free time and then proceed to Linate Airport for flight KM625, which departs at 20:40 and arrives back in Malta at 23:10
