We meet at the airport at 04:00 for flight FR7114, which departs at 05:45 and arrives in Krakow at 08:25. We transfer by coach to the city center where we will have a Krakow city tour to see the main attractions of this historic city. Afterwards, together with the tour leader, we visit the famous Christmas Market. We then continue to Hotel Logos, located in the heart of Krakow, and check in to our rooms.
A beautiful day dedicated to discovering places connected with the great Saint Pope John Paul II. We visit the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, where Sister Faustina is venerated. We continue through stunning scenery to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We visit the monastery and the Sanctuary of the Miraculous Madonna. The highlight of the day will be a visit to Wadowice, the picturesque village where Pope John Paul II was born. Among the most interesting sites, we visit the basilica and the house where he was born, now a museum (entrance fees extra).
A truly moving half-day excursion to Auschwitz-Birkenau, where we will experience one of the most historically significant sites in modern European history. Today we visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps, a sobering reminder of the Holocaust, where millions of people lost their lives (entrance fee extra). We return to Krakow in the afternoon with free time to continue enjoying this beautiful city.
Discover with us the stunning beauty of the Polish Alps with a visit to Zakopane, set in a festive atmosphere, and the Tatra Mountains, which stretch across the border between Poland and Slovakia, and are the highest part of the Carpathian Mountains. Zakopane is a well-known ski resort, bustling with tourists year-round. We stroll down Krupówki Street, full of cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and horse-drawn carriages with costumed coachmen. We tour the area, seeing typical wooden houses, and visit a small art museum. Those who wish can take a cable car (extra fee) for a beautiful panoramic view of the city. Return to Krakow.
Breakfast and free time in the morning. Later, we depart for the Wieliczka Salt Mines (entrance extra), also known as the Underground Salt Cathedral of Poland, considered one of the most spectacular mines in the world. Accompanied by a local guide, we explore the mine’s salt sculptures and corridors, stretching over 300 kilometers. These mines are also listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After the tour, we transfer by coach to Krakow airport for flight FR7141, departing at 22:05, and arrive back in Malta at 00:45.
