After breakfast, we begin our journey to the Harz Mountains and make our first stop in Quedlinburg, a town in northern Germany known for its medieval streets filled with half-timbered houses. Overlooking the town is Quedlinburg Castle. The castle complex includes the Romanesque-style Church of St. Servatius, which houses the tomb of the 10th-century German King Henry I. We continue to Wernigerode – colourful half-timbered houses, castle views, and a wonderful atmosphere. This is the most picturesque town in the Harz region, looking as if it has come straight out of a storybook. The half-timbered houses are painted in bright colours that stand out as we stroll through the streets. There we will see the small house on Knoch Street and admire Wernigerode Town Hall and the fountain.

Brühl's Terrace, often called the “Balcony of Europe,” offers panoramic views of the River Elbe and the city. On the other side of the river in the Neustadt district, we explore a vibrant contrast of street art, independent cafés, and boutiques. Check-in at the 4-star Holiday Inn Express Dresden Centre and free time.
