Friday, 28th August
We meet at Malta International Airport at 04:30 for flight KM612 departing at 06:55, arriving in Rome at 08:30. Transfer by coach to the center of Sorrento, where we will be accommodated at Hotel Meridiana 3 star+. Afterwards, an outing with the leader to start enjoying this tourist resort. We will visit Piazza Tasso in the heart of the town and also explore many small streets filled with shops selling traditional items.

Saturday, 29th August
After enjoying a buffet breakfast, we offer you a very interesting excursion to the beautiful city of Naples, where together with the local guide we will discover the Mergellina area, admiring the port and yacht marina as well as the promenade. We will see Piazza Plebiscito, Galleria Umberto I, Basilica Reale San Francesco di Paola, Piazza del Municipio, Castel Nuovo, Palazzo Reale. We continue to the historic center of Naples, explore it together, and have some free time for shopping and personal sightseeing.

Sunday, 30th August
A free day, but those interested can take a ferry (not included) to the island of Ischia, known as the Emerald Isle and the largest island in the Bay of Naples. This island is in the Tyrrhenian Sea and has around 60,000 inhabitants. Upon arrival, we will have a coach tour (extra) where, among other things, we can admire the beautiful scenery of the Gulf of Naples and Capri. We will visit Forio, the largest town on the island, and continue to Lacco Ameno, a tourist and elegant spot. We will also visit Casamicciola, a quiet place and the second largest port on the island. Time for lunch (extra) will be provided. Afterwards, we will take a tour around the beautiful streets of Ischia Porto. We then catch a boat back to Sorrento.

Monday, 31st August
Excursion to Caserta, known as the Versailles of Naples due to the Royal Palace. This palace was built by Charles III – King of Bourbon, in the 18th century. We will visit this magnificent palace, one of the most important palaces in Italy (entry extra). There will also be time to visit its gardens and park. Afterwards, we continue to a Shopping Outlet, where we will find over 100 shops, restaurants, and cafés… all at good prices. Plenty of time for shopping. We return to the hotel.

Tuesday, 1st September
A full-day excursion to the world-famous island of Capri. We take the ferry (included) from Sorrento, which will bring us to this popular, relaxing, and beautiful island. Upon arrival at Marina Grande, we take a minibus (extra) to Anacapri to explore this part of Capri. Those interested can also take the chairlift to Monte Solaro (extra), from where we can enjoy stunning panoramas of the Amalfi Coast. We continue to Capri by minibus, where, among other highlights, we will see the famous Piazzetta, Augustus Gardens, and Via Camerelle. We then take transport back to Marina Grande and catch the ferry back to Sorrento. We return to the hotel.

Wednesday, 2nd September
A half-day excursion to the very interesting city of Pompeii. In Pompeii, time stopped due to the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. At these archaeological excavations (entry extra), we can get a clear idea of the type and quality of life Romans lived at that time. There will also be time for lunch (extra) and shopping. We will visit the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Pompeii. We return to the hotel for free time. In the evening, we attend a folklore night – Tarantella Show (extra) featuring traditional singing and dancing.

Thursday, 3rd September
Discover with us the beauty of the Amalfi Coast. Today’s excursion will take us to Amalfi. On the way along the coast, we will stop at a belvedere overlooking Positano, a town built on a cliff face with terraced buildings. We continue to the picturesque resort of Amalfi, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here we will take a tour of the port and town center, where we will also see the cathedral in the central square. There are also many shops and cafés. Afterwards, we continue to Ravello, located 350 meters above the sea, where we can enjoy a panoramic view of the Amalfi Coast. We stop here for sightseeing.

Friday, 4th September
After breakfast, we visit Montecassino, where we will see the Benedictine Monastery (entry extra). This monastery is one of the most famous in the world. Afterwards, we continue our journey to Fiumicino Airport for flight KM615 departing at 21:00 and arriving back in Malta at 22:30.
