Monday 10th August
We meet at Malta International Airport at 05.00 for flight KM306 departing at 07.15 and arriving in Munich at 09.45. Afterwards, a city walking tour with a local guide where we will see the central square Marienplatz, dominated by the domes of Frauenkirche, a 15th-century church, Max Joseph Platz, and the Opera House. We will see the famous Glockenspiel clock on the façade of the Neues Rathaus located in the same square. Karlsplatz with its famous fountain and streets full of beautiful shops. Afterwards free time to continue exploring this beautiful city and time for shopping. We continue to the centre of Munich in Germany where we will be staying in the centre at the Hotel Melia Munich City Centre 4-star. Room allocation and later an outing with the leader.

Tuesday 11th August
Discover the beauty of Neuschwanstein Castle, the castle of King Ludwig built in neo-Romanesque style and world famous. Photo stop of the castle. Afterwards we continue to Hohenschwangau Castle where we will have the opportunity to enter and enjoy the beauty this castle offers (entrance extra). Later we visit the village of Füssen, a very popular holiday and spa resort, as well as being located in the foothills of the Alps. Here we will take a walk around the historic centre.

Wednesday 12th August
A history-filled excursion where together we visit the famous city of Salzburg. As everyone knows, this city is not only historic and beautiful but is also famous for its connection with the well-known musical film The Sound of Music. Therefore we will see the Cathedral, Residence Square, Market Square, Getreidegasse and Mozart’s house. We also go to Capital Square from where we can take the funicular (extra cost) to Hohensalzburg Fortress. We will also see the Watchtower and the Rainer Museum where we find a collection of medieval weapons.

Thursday 13th August
After breakfast we have an excursion for you to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a German skiing resort. In this famous resort the Winter Olympics of 1936 were held. From here we then continue towards the Zugspitze, where we take a cable car (extra) to go up this mountain, which is also the highest mountain in Germany (10,000 feet). Here we will see unforgettable scenery, a spectacular lake in Bavaria. We return back to the hotel.

Friday 14th August
An excursion that takes us to Augsburg, one of the oldest and historically most important cities in Germany. We will see some of the most popular attractions such as the Augsburger Rathaus (City Council building) and the Cathedral. Afterwards we will have free time for personal sightseeing. Transfer to Munich airport for flight KM309 departing at 17.10 and arriving back in Malta at 19.30
