At 08:30 we meet the tour leader at Malta International Airport for Ryanair flight FR7108 which departs at 10:35 and arrives in Bari at 11:55. Transfer by coach to Andria, a historic town in the heart of Puglia; upon arrival, room allocation and afterwards an outing with the leader to visit the beautiful historic centre with its narrow streets full of shops and typical cafés. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 02:
Breakfast and departure to Ostuni, considered “La più bella Città Bianca”. With the leader we visit tourist sites such as Piazza Oronzo, the city centre, the Duomo, and the Belvedere. Free time and we continue to Locorotondo. A stop with a lovely experience in the well-kept old centre built around narrow alleys and small rectangular houses with pointed roofs filled with flowers. Afterwards we continue crossing the Itria Valley, an area full of vineyards and olive groves, until we arrive in Alberobello, renowned as a UNESCO World Heritage site. With the leader we discover “THE TRULLI” (Rione Monti) built with these stone houses and small conical roofs. We will have time for souvenir shopping. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 03:
Breakfast and today we offer you an excursion to Altamura. A walk in the historic centre of the town where we pass through Porta Bari, the beautiful Cathedral, the Gothic clock tower and taste the famous Altamura bread. We cross the Alta Murgia Valley by coach and enter the Basilicata Region to visit another beautiful town, Matera; here we visit the historic centre and the Sassi area, which is a complex of caves carved into the rock. In the Sassi we visit the Casa Grotta museum (extra). Dinner at the hotel.

Day 04:
Breakfast: Today is a special, environmental, spiritual day in the Gargano. We start our journey discovering “Le Saline di Margherita di Savoia” stretching over about 20 km. We continue along the beautiful views of Gargano SP55 where we enjoy the mountainous scenery and the Manfredonia Coast towards Monte Sant’Angelo where the Grotto/Sanctuary of St Michael is located in the enormous cave. Free time and later we continue our journey through the scenery of the Gargano Park to visit the territory of San Giovanni Rotondo. Together with thousands of pilgrims, the tour leader shows us the highlights related to Padre Pio, St Maria delle Grazie, the Sanctuary of San Pio and free time for purchasing relics and personal prayer near the saint’s tomb. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 05:
Breakfast and we start our journey to Polignano a Mare where we take a walk in the historic centre surrounded by narrow streets and typical white houses; we stop to admire the spectacular views of Lama Monachile, pass through Arco Marchesale, the historic gateway of the town, and of course we see the statue of Domenico Modugno, the symbol of Polignano. We continue to Bari where in the historic centre known as Bari Vecchia, we can see the Basilica of Saint Nicholas, one of the most important churches in the region, as well as the Cathedral of Saint Sabinus with its Romanesque architecture.
