Sunday 27 December: We meet at Malta International Airport at 12:30 for flight KM490, departing at 14:25. We arrive in Zurich at 16:50. Transfer to Mulhouse in France, situated on a plain between the Vosges Mountains and the Rhine River. Upon arrival, we proceed to the centrally located Hotel Bristol 3 Star+. Room allocation upon arrival. For those taking the Half Board Supplement, dinner will be served every evening.
Monday 28 December: A wonderful excursion takes us into the heart of the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland, where we visit Interlaken and Grindelwald. We travel by coach through spectacular Swiss scenery, so make sure your cameras are ready. Upon arrival in Grindelwald, we take the cable car (extra) to Männlichen Mountain, where we enjoy breathtaking alpine views. Our final stop is Interlaken, where together with the tour leader we explore the town and admire magnificent views of the Jungfrau and Eiger Mountains from the famous Höhematte Park. Return to the hotel.
Tuesday 29 December: Today's excursion takes us to the beautiful Swiss city of Lucerne, capital of the canton bearing the same name. Among the highlights we visit: The famous Wooden Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), The Jesuit Church, built in Baroque style, The Old Town with its picturesque streets, Town Hall, The Lion Monument, dedicated to the Swiss Guards who lost their lives during the French Revolution. Free time for shopping and sightseeing. Return to the hotel.
Wednesday 30 December: Buffet Breakfast. An interesting excursion to Strasbourg and Riquewihr in France. Our first stop is Strasbourg, an elegant city of great importance. Together we visit: Petite France, The Old Quarters, Palais de l'Europe, European Parliament, L'Orangerie, Strasbourg Cathedral. Free time before continuing to the medieval village of Riquewihr, renowned for its exceptionally preserved architecture where time seems to have stood still. The village is famous for its wine production and peaceful atmosphere. Together we stroll through the narrow cobbled streets lined with charming shops, cafés, bakeries, restaurants, ancient wells, fountains and colourful houses often topped by nesting storks. Return to the hotel. After dinner, we enjoy a relaxing evening drink together.
Thursday 31 December: Today we visit Colmar, one of the most beautiful towns in the Alsace Wine Region. Together with the tour leader we explore the historic centre, rich in culture and architecture, featuring charming half-timbered houses and the picturesque canal district known as Little Venice. We also see the house of Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, designer of New York’s Statue of Liberty. It is no surprise that Colmar is often described as one of Europe's most beautiful small towns. Return to the hotel and free time for shopping. In the evening, we attend an optional New Year's Eve Dinner, where together we bid farewell to 2026 and welcome 2027 with music, dancing and festive celebrations.
Friday 01 January: Discover with us the beauty of Germany’s famous Black Forest. Our first stop is St. Peter's, where we enjoy a short sightseeing visit. We then continue to Triberg, a charming mountain resort famous for its handcrafted Cuckoo Clocks and Music Boxes, all produced by local artisans. Free time for souvenir shopping. Our final stop is Titisee, a picturesque lakeside resort surrounded by stunning scenery. What could be better than a relaxing walk around the lake or enjoying a delicious slice of traditional Black Forest Cake. Return to the hotel for dinner.
Saturday 02 January: A fun-filled day for both adults and children at Europa Theme Park (entrance ticket not included). Here you will find a world of adventure featuring: Roller Coasters, Canoeing Attractions, Shooting Galleries, Ghost Trains, Live Shows, Numerous Family Attractions. Your entrance ticket allows unlimited use of rides and shows throughout the day. Return to the hotel.
Sunday 03 January: We depart by coach to Neuhausen to visit the spectacular Rhine Falls, the largest waterfalls in Europe. We stop to admire this natural wonder before continuing to Zurich Airport. Check-in for flight KM491, departing at 17:40 and arriving back in Malta at 19:40.
