Wednesday 11th March
We meet at Malta Airport at 06:00 for flight FR6696 departing at 08:10, arriving in Edinburgh at 11:00. Upon arrival, transfer to Fort William, a journey with picturesque stops at Loch Lomond and Glen Coe. Loch Lomond is known for its beautiful waters and fjord-like inlets. We continue to Glen Coe, one of Scotland’s most spectacular valleys. On arrival in Fort William, room allocation and dinner at the hotel.
Thursday 12th March
Scottish Breakfast and we begin the day with a visit to the Glenfinnan Viaduct, also known as the Harry Potter bridge, and its historic monument. From here we take the ferry to the Isle of Skye and visit Portree, a picturesque harbour with traditional white walls and colourful houses. Free time to enjoy this place with its beautiful views and surrounding islands. On the way back to Fort William, we will stop for photos at Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s iconic castles. Dinner at the hotel.
Friday 13th March
Full-day excursion to Loch Ness and Inverness. We begin the trip to Loch Ness, the mysterious lake known for the legend of Nessie. We make a stop to visit Urquhart Castle, offering spectacular views over the lake and an interesting medieval history (entrance fee extra). Afterwards, we continue to Inverness, an old town with traditional houses, small shops, and bridges over the Ness River. We proceed to Fort Augustus for a photo stop and return to the hotel for dinner.
Saturday 14th March
Scottish Breakfast and we begin our journey towards Edinburgh, but first we stop at Stirling Castle, one of the largest Scottish castles with rich history and architecture (entrance fee extra). We then continue our journey to Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city, one of the most historic and picturesque cities in Europe, best known for Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Room allocation.
Sunday 15th March
After breakfast, we have a City Tour of the Old Town and the Royal Mile, where we explore historic streets, old houses, and local shops. We visit Edinburgh Castle, which offers panoramic views of the city and a rich history (entrance fee extra). Free time for personal sightseeing or shopping on Princes Street. Dinner at the hotel.
Monday 16th March
Scottish Breakfast and afterwards we visit Holyrood Distillery (entrance fee extra), the first single malt distillery within the city of Edinburgh. Here we experience the traditional process of whisky-making, as well as a tasting of local products. Free time for souvenir shopping or lunch. At around 15:00, transfer by coach to Edinburgh Airport for flight FR6695 departing at 18:20 and arriving back in Malta at 23:10.
