Visiting: Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Kinderdijk, Marken, Volendam, Keukenhof, Efteling Park & Antwerp
Day 01
We meet at Malta International Airport at 05:30 in order to check in for flight KM394 which departs at 07:05 and arrives at Amsterdam Schiphol at 10:50. We proceed towards Rotterdam, which is known for its modern architecture that makes it one of the most unique cities in Europe. Check-in at NH Atlanta 4-star Hotel located in the city centre. Free time and a walk with the tour leader to enjoy this city.
Day 02
Today we will visit the beautiful city of Antwerp, located in Belgium. We will have a city tour to enjoy places of interest such as main monuments and the main square Groenplaats, the cathedral Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal, the statue of the artist Rubens, narrow alleys and Gothic churches, together with remains of ancient stone walls and the Grote Markt (the Great Market Square). We continue towards the windmills in the Netherlands, Kinderdijk, which is declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nowhere else in the world will you find as many windmills as in this village. Those who wish may take a boat trip around the canal (extra).
Day 03
Buffet breakfast, then we will have an excursion to Marken and Volendam. Today we will be in a typical Dutch countryside area, where we visit these two traditional fishing villages. We return back to the hotel. Free time to enjoy the centre with the lovely shops of Rotterdam.
Day 04
After breakfast, a free day in Rotterdam or, for those who wish, you may spend a full day at the beautiful theme park of the Netherlands, Efteling Theme Park (transfers and entrance extra), a place of entertainment for children as well as adults. Here you will find roller coasters, Top Spin, Pirate Ship, Magic Bowl, and for families there is the Trackless Train, Ocean Self Control Plane, W-Wave Flying Boots, and many other rides and shows for everyone. All of this makes this day a memorable one for all. We return back to the hotel.
Day 05
Today we go to the Tulip Festival at Keukenhof Gardens (entrance fee extra). We will have the opportunity to see this beautiful garden full of flowers, including fantastic collections of Tulips, Irises, Lilies, Hyacinths, Daffodils, Orchids, and many more types of flowers. We will have plenty of time to walk around this garden and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. Afterwards, we continue our journey to Madurodam (entrance extra), a unique park where we can see various Dutch landmarks built on a miniature scale.
Day 06
After breakfast we proceed towards the centre of Amsterdam, where we will have a city tour to see places of interest including the Royal Palace, the National Monument, Dam Square, Rembrandt Square, the Skinny Bridge, Anne Frank House, the famous canals that surround the city, and the Port of Amsterdam. We will also see the windmill located on the Amstel River. Free time, followed by transfer by coach to Schiphol Airport for check-in for flight KM397, departing at 19:35 and arriving back in Malta at 22:40.
