Sunday, 30th November

We meet at the airport at 16:00 for flight KM514, which departs at 18:20 and arrives in Lyon at 20:40. Transfer to the city center and check-in at Hotel Seminaire Campanile 3 stars, located in the heart of the city.

Monday, 1st December

Breakfast, followed by a City Tour to discover the beauty of Lyon, built between two major rivers: the Rhône and the Saône. We visit the medieval cathedral featuring an astronomical clock and 14th-century stained glass, Place Bellecour, the 19th-century Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourvière, Place des Terreaux, the Bartholdi Fountain, and the City Hall (Hotel de Ville). Afterward, we visit one of the Christmas Markets and enjoy the charm of this beautiful city.

Tuesday, 2nd December

Breakfast and departure to visit the picturesque beauty of the French Alps. Our first stop is the medieval village of Pérouges, followed by the enchanting town of Annecy. On our tour of the town, we admire its historical architecture and landmarks such as: Palais de l’Ile, St. Pierre Cathedral, St. Francis Church, the castle, and canals that make this town a true gem. Of course, we won't miss the Christmas lights and the famous Xmas Market. Return to Lyon.

Wednesday, 3rd December

After breakfast, we go on a half-day excursion to the touristic village of Vienne, full of history and beautiful architecture. We’ll have a city tour to see the main points of interest, followed by free time for lunch, photos, or to enjoy some of the region's fine wine! We return to Lyon for free time to enjoy sightseeing, shopping, Christmas markets, or a visit to Parc de la Tête d’Or, where you can enter Lyon Zoo, visited by around 3 million people annually.

Thursday, 4th December

After breakfast, today we head up into the mountains to explore the majestic French Alps in the Auvergne-Rhône region, visiting Grenoble.
This stunning city, surrounded by mountains and set along the Isère River, offers breathtaking scenery and fresh alpine air. Our tour begins in the historic center, visiting the Notre-Dame Cathedral, then continuing through Rue Sainte-Claire, Rue de la République, Place Grenette, the Houses of Parliament, and Quai Stéphane Jay, where we enjoy views of the Isère River and Mont Rachais. After some free time, we head to Jardin de Ville to take the Grenoble Bastille Cable Cars, known as "The Bubbles", which offer spectacular panoramic views of the city, river, and surrounding mountains. We also have time for one last stroll through the Christmas Markets. Later, transfer to Lyon Airport for our return flight to Malta on KM455, departing at 21:30 and arriving in Malta at 23:40.
