Day 01
We meet at Malta International Airport at 05:30 for flight KM612 which departs at 07:35 and arrives in Rome at 09:00. Transfer by coach to Arezzo; upon arrival we go to Piazza Grande – the main square and one of the most beautiful in Italy, filled with medieval and Renaissance buildings, and Corso Italia – the main street full of shops and cafés. We continue our journey to Montecatini Terme. Upon arrival, room allocation in our 4-star hotel. In the evening, dinner and an outing with the leader.

Day 02
Buffet breakfast and an interesting excursion to Viareggio and Carrara. Our first stop is Viareggio in Versilia, a world-famous resort. Nothing is nicer than a stroll along the beautiful promenade where we find many shops, bars and cafés. We will also have the opportunity to visit an enormous market where you’ll find everything. Afterwards we continue our excursion to Carrara where we take a tour and have the chance to purchase marble souvenirs. For those who want some adventure, we take a one-hour Jeep tour (extra). Led by experienced guides, this exciting trip climbs up to the mountain summit and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Alps. Along the route we visit the active marble quarries and learn more about the fascinating extraction process. After dinner, together with the tour leader we go to Montecatini Alto (cable car extra).
Day 03
A wonderful excursion to the city of Firenze, the capital of the Tuscany region, located along the Arno River. Firenze is known as the “Jewel of the Renaissance,” and millions of tourists visit its historic centre. Here we see the famous Duomo, where those who wish may climb to the top of the dome for a beautiful view of Firenze. We see the Baptistery and the famous bell tower designed by Giotto, the Cathedral, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Signoria, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today we are lucky to admire elegant squares and Renaissance-style Palazzi. We will also have free time for shopping and personal sightseeing. Return to the hotel. After dinner, an evening outing with the leader.

Day 04
A very interesting excursion visiting Lucca and Pisa. Our first stop is Lucca, an elegant and refined city. Here we see places of interest such as the Cathedral of San Martin and Piazza Anfiteatro. Afterwards we continue to Montecarlo, known for its good wine and olive oil. Here we enjoy an excellent wine tasting (not included). Our excursion continues to the city of Pisa. We take a tour with the leader to see the famous Tower, Piazza dei Miracoli, the Cathedral and the Baptistery in the Campo Santo. We have free time for souvenir shopping. Return to the hotel. In the evening we go out for a drink.

Day 05
A full-day outing where we visit beautiful places such as Santa Margerita Ligure, Portofino and Rapallo, located along the Liguria coast. Our first stop is Santa Margerita Ligure where together we walk through the historic centre of the town. We see the 17th-century Baroque Basilica and the castle. We stroll along the promenade decorated with frescoes, bars and restaurants. We have free time for personal sightseeing. We take the boat (extra) to Portofino, one of the jewels of the Italian coastline. An elegant and romantic place that enchants with its natural beauty. We walk along the harbour where we see beautiful yachts, charming small shops and cafés. On the hill we see Castello Braun and the church dedicated to San Martin. We have free time and anyone interested may climb up to the viewpoint. What’s nicer than enjoying a drink while taking in the pleasant atmosphere? We then take the boat again and a 30-minute journey takes us to Rapallo, with its beautiful promenade full of palm trees, lovely bay views surrounded by colourful buildings and the Rapallo castle. We have free time. After dinner, we go out for a drink.

Day 06
We invite you to enjoy with us the renowned cities of Siena and San Gimignano. We begin our excursion towards Siena, famous for the Palio held twice a year. We see the famous Cathedral, Piazza del Campo and Palazzo Comunale. We continue to San Gimignano, a place that enchants with its culture and scenery. Here we see the Duomo, Palazzo del Popolo and the Town Hall. We have free time to buy typical products such as Vernaccia wine. Return to Montecatini.
Day 07
After breakfast, we depart by coach to the city of Orvieto where together with the tour leader we tour the city, seeing the picturesque narrow streets, the main square, palaces, charming alleys and the Orvieto Cathedral. We have time for lunch (extra). We continue towards Fiumicino Airport for flight KM615 which departs at 21:00 and arrives back in Malta at 22:30.
